Formerly known as Preety Puri (maiden name).

A little bit about who I really was/am:

I was born and brought up in Bombay (Juhu) … I did my schooling in Maneckji Cooper, the school that produced a lot of film stars and housed a lot of brats,… Rani Mukherji (my classmate in school), Divya Bharti and many more …. I was a pretty good athlete while I was schooling (the Bombay champion in one time :) ). I was highly regarded during my school days and was also awarded the best school all rounder. After school, I went on to do my class 11-12 in Mithibai. After that, I did my engineering in Pune Institute of Computer Technology(PICT), where I met my husband Rajiv. I am a software engineer by profession and a mother of one. I live and work in the Bay Area.

A few people that have had a great influence on my life

- My dad for inculcating all those great values and for pushing me in the right direction and for showing me the difference between the right and the wrong and ofcourse for placing the true spirit of patriotism in me.

- My mom for being my moral support at all times (my punching bag :) …) Without her I couldn’t have achieved anything … She was always standing behind me for every step I took. She’s always been a friend to me. She’ s always taught me how to try to be happy even when the worst possible trouble hits you. Both my parents have taught me how to side the right no matter what the consequences might be.

- My sister for being my mentor and mother. She always set higher standards for me …. She is now a successful doctor and the one person I could trust my life with. Her high level of energy always amazes me and I strive to build that in me.

- My husband Rajiv, without whom I wouldn’t be able to do anything … Right from the time I know him, he has always been a positive influence on my life … To quite an extent, he has taught me how to segregate between work life and family life. He is my best friend and an excellent mentor to me.

- My daughter Rhea, who taught me how to be a mother. She is the heart and soul of both my husband and me.
